The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb held at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is held in honor and remembrance of the FDNY firefighters, police officers, and EMS professionals who selflessly gave their lives on 9-11-2001.
The participants of this event pay tribute to an FDNY firefighter, police officer, or EMS professional by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center and symbolically completing their heroic journey to save others.
Each climber is issued a small photo of one of the first responders that was killed on 9-11-2001 at the World Trade Center Towers to carry throughout their climb.
We want to ensure that each of the 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and 10 EMS professionals are honored and that the world knows that we will never forget.
Trinity Air Medical was proud to help support the event with nourishment for the climbers but to also have each one of our team members wear a small photo of one of the first responders while supporting and cheering on the climbers to the finish bell.
More 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb events are offered throughout the United States. The event Trinity Air medical participated in benefits the families of those who lost their lives along with helping the charities of the East Valley Firefighters.
