In 2022, we orchestrated an international mission to fly two teams from different programs to Canada to recover lungs and livers for transplant. Coordinating the teams took precision planning, with one plane utilized outbound for both teams and two planes used for the return.

Timing, while always critical in organ donation and transplantation, required extra focus to ensure the original aircraft and crew had enough time to rest and prepare for one of the return trips. Additionally, special care went into ensuring customs requirements were fulfilled and that the aircraft could carry a large team and perfusion devices.
